I bought this Bonneville from a frend who was a Pontiac bodyman. He
restored it 13 years ago in Pittsburgh then moved to Charlotte. He
did a remarkable job on the body and frame.
It needs work on the suspension and interior. I'm waiting on an all
new 8-bolt brake system From Rodger at Custom Circuits, I like the
bare aluminum look so I ordered the 63 drums.
This winter I plan on rebulding the total suspension front and rear.
I had a 64 Bonneville in the 70s and always wanted another, the ride,
the performance, the handling, the 4-speed Super Hydro, I never drove
another car like it.
This would be impossible without the parts and help I get from
Performance Years, Ames, and POCI.
Thank you,
Jeff Kalas

In the last 3 years I made a few changes.
- New suspension with,
ARG 12 to 1 steering box, Large Addco sway bar, Indian Adventures traction bars, Scarebird disc conversion with adjustable proportion valve.
- 15 X 7 X 4-3/8" B.S, American T-70 wheels from AKH wheels with 225/70-15 Firestone Firehawk 500 tires.
- Rebuilt 4 speed hydro by Wiegand Bros transmission (Pittsburgh).
- New 2.56 Posi, works well with the hydros 3.97 first gear.
- New 462 built by Cliff Ruggles with, ported 6 X 8 heads with larger stainless valves, 9.2 compression, Crower 60919 (RA-4) cam with Rhoads lifters, filled crossovers, modified Quadrajet intake topped off with a Brad Urban / Cliffs Quadrajet.
- Performance Years Long Branch exhaust manifolds connected to the Pipes 2-1/2" 65 "B" Body exhaust system through long Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers.
- New Harry Samuals interior.
This car is a well rounded balance of looks, raw performance, very good handling with a nice ride. It cruises at 2000 rpm in 4th gear at 65 mph and gets great gas mileage.
