When I was growing up in the mid to late 60's, I always wanted a GTO. However, my father (who knew several Chevy dealers) got me involved in Chevelles. My 'hunger' continued for muscle cars (& the GTO), until having reached my mid 50's, I decided to 'relive my youth'. I must confess that I looked around for several different makes/models of muscle cars, but I always came back to the 1964 GTO. The 1964 GTO might not have been the prettiest or the fastest muscle car, but it was the 1st muscle car.

I purchased my 64 'BADGOAT' in 2003 & it was approximately 90% restored. I had to do some mechanical work (don't we all) with the most significant repairs/improvements being replacing some 'worn' 4 speed gears & a complete detailing of the engine. Various parts along with other trim parts & accessories were added with the help of PY (also PY's Tech Forums was (and continues to be) an invaluable service).

I really enjoy my hobby of showcasing my 'goat' at car shows & just 'cruising' around. My plans are to hold onto my old 'goat' till my retirement years at which time I will either 'cash in'/sell (for a nice proft I hope) or pass onto a relative who truly appreciates what this car means to the muscle car era.

Thanks again for PY in keeping me supplied with parts (& technical assistance) so that I can truly enjoy my hobby.
