PY Debut's 1967 GTO sedan
at events this summer

After many years this 67 GTO has come full circle. After being purchased by Chris Casperson when he had just turned 18 in 1976, the car was sold in 1983 to start a business that would be called Performance Years. Around 1993 the car returned to Performance Years in quite a dilapidated state. After sitting several years the restoration process began and was completed this year. LMS Graphics was responsible for the paint and body work. The paint is base coat clear coat urethane and PY dares anyone to show us a "raced" car with a better paint job. The 67 sedan will look completely stock until you take a second glance at the roll bar in the interior. Also tunes come from a hidden 10 disc CD changer in the glove box. Under the hood a Ram Air package was installed and only if the Ram air pan is removed would you notice the Nitrous solenoids tucked underneath. The motor was rebuilt by Indian Adventures using an original 67 400 block, 670 heads, carb and HO exhaust manifolds. The exhaust system was expertly prepared by Gardner Exhaust showing original detail right down to the correct clamps. The original Turbo 400 was removed and a Muncie 4 speed installed. A 3:36 Pontiac posi rear keeps this Factory Air Poncho running cool. Front Wheels are 15 x 6 Convo Pro with Goodyear 205 78 x 15 Radials. Rear Wheels are 15 x 8.5 Convo Pro with 4 7/8" backspacing and 10.5 ET MT Street's. Just to be safe, the wheel lip moldings were shaved at the top by about 3/8" and then polished.

Special recognition goes to Paul Spotts of Spotts Performance for assembling most dash and engine electrics, the 4 speed conversion and countless other details.

Spring Contest Winner Selected

Our Grand prize winner of our Spring Contest is Tom Vaught from Dearborn, Michigan. Tom won round trip airfare, free lodging at the host hotel, $250 spending money and dinner out with the PY crew at the POCI Nationals this year in Charleston, WV. How did he win? He simply qualified by posting his picture on the Forums. Next, he guessed the 50 other unidentified PY forum member pics. Finally he needed a little luck as there were about 70 other qualifying names in the hat. Also our good guy hard luck award goes to Jim Doran of New Milford Connecticut as he was our first name drawn as the winner but could not make the event due to a wedding that weekend. By the way, don't look for Tom with the picture above as he politely refers to it as a glance at his younger days.

Check in The Lobby occasionally for more contests. PY Forums has awarded more than 50 members with prizes ranging from a T-shirt to $1,000 cash!
